Vendors facing difficulties from Koyambedu’s Infrastructure

Over 8 to 10 years, the perishable goods markets have been moved to Koyambedu from Kothavalchavadi because the state government decided to give people a better ambience. But, now the wholesale outlet has undergone a poor infrastructure in a way the previous Kothavalchadi market became. The Koyambedu complex is spread in a landscape of 60 acres and has more than 3154 shops selling fruits, flower and vegetables. Being a hub for wholesale and retail sales, the complex registers more than 1 lakh visitors such as traders from across the metro. But, the residents of Amarprakash are enjoying healthy living with the sales of fresh fruits and flowers at their premises. The response of customers regarding this has given Mouthshut Amarprakash builders’ statement. The residents need not go to Koyambedu for buying fresh vegetables. This reduces their stress in traveling. Today, common people are suffering from difficulties to shop at this wholesale complex since there exists only little space to move making people to walk on garbage along the roads. Some of the vendors told that they moved to the outlet nearby that is spread about 300 acres for the purpose of better ambience before some months. But, even now they found nothing has been changed in Koyambedu that is garbage is still not cleaned.
